A workshop on "Innovative Methods of Teaching in Digital Era(30-June-2023)
A workshop on "Innovative Methods of Teaching in Digital Era" was organised at Jaycees Public School for the teachers of JPS Foundation, DPS Rudrapur, and JPS on 30/06/2023. The resource person was Dr. Aditi Singhal, founder of Dynamic Minds Group. She has got her name in the Guinness Book of World records for teaching largest maths lesson and The Limca Book of Records for memory and fastest calculation. She has also been conferred upon the doctorate degree by U K University for her work in Vedic Maths. An active member of SpARC, a research wing of BrahmaKumaris, she has conducted several workshops on seminal topics.
The session started off with kindling of the pious lamp and offering floral tribute to the Goddess Saraswati. which was joined by the General Secretary JPS, Shri Surjit Singh Grover ji, director DPSR, Principal DPS Rudrapur and Principal JPS Rudrapur, Head Mistress JPS Foundation, and coordinators of both the schools.
The main objective of the workshop was the holistic development of the students in the digital era of the day. Stressing on the need of creative thinking and logical decision making she said that technology is a boon and the students' access to technology must be ensured. Dr. Aditi Singhal told about some useful educational sites for the teachers which can help them to facilitate the classroom teaching. She also emphasized certain practices like logical questioning, group discussion and induction of the real world scenario as education tools. The session was made productive with activities wherein the teachers of both the schools participated enthusiastically. She also highlighted the need of spiritualism among the teachers and the students.
The chairman of DPS Rudrapur and General Secretary of JPSR Shri Surjit Singh Grover ji also laid emphasis on the need of critical thinking and spiritual awareness among children. He appreciated the efforts of the resource person and participation of the teachers.
The programme ended with thanking God for his blessings to mankind and the motto, " Add smart work to hard work" to attain the goals of life.
