Terrace gardening is a novel phenomenon in the field of gardening. Jaycees Public School has adopted this method of gardening to grow vegetables on the terrace of the school building. The adulterated vegetables are the cause of several diseases today. To avoid this the fresh and nutritious vegetables are grown in the terrace in an organic way. It serves a good opportunity to the children to learn about the vegetables and gives them a basic idea of agriculture. They spend a creative in gardening. It becomes more important in today's circumstances when the kids are confined to their homes in the gated colonies and don't find an opportunity to go out in the fields and know about farming. This creative and fruitful act has got a lot of appreciation from the parents.

Jaycees Public School is all set to meet the global standards stressing on the varous life skills. School has already initiated cooking classes to facilitate the children to become self-dependent. The classes are run as hobby classes guided by the cooking experts and the renowned guest chefs of the city. The children are familiarized with the various cuisines; regional, native, continental and intercontinental. Today when the children are living in the nuclear families and parents don't find time to teach such skills to the children, the school has taken the responsibility to give them the fundamental life skills. Cooking classes in the school is one such effort .

Jaycees Public School ensures overall development of students and provides social and moral education to the students by making them participate in Scout and guides, instilling the values of character and hard work among them.Scout and guide helps in character training and prepare the students to be a good citizen which inculcates a sense of responsibilities, trustworthiness, and self-knowledge to explore and discuss the world beyond the classrooms. Our school's aim is to train the students to help the society in natural and man made disaster. it orients them to do community service.

Economics Club of Jaycees Public School is one of the many initiatives started for the students’ better understanding of economic and business issues and how they relate to the world at large.
Economics club was founded as an interest-based club to impart knowledge and invoke discussions affecting their daily lives and make them better prepared to tackle business situations more efficiently.“ Since its inception, Economics Club has gradually attained the status of a Core Academic Club and been involved in several and successful club based activities.

The Speaking Club is the best way to improve spoken English. The club was founded at our school to improve language speaking skills with a larger aim to improve communication and build leadership skills. The activities organised by the club help the children to practice speaking in an informal and relaxed environment. English speaking club primarily helps participants to improve two primary skills – speaking and listening by enabling one to one conversation.

The Motto of NCC is ‘Unity and Discipline’
NCC Programme is the part of Educational Activity. The school has started (NCC) National Cadet Corps, in 2010 for the youth Development. The aim of NCC is to develop character, commandership, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure and the ideals of selfless service amongst the youth. The NCC provides the opportunities to the youth for their all round development with a sense of duty, dedication, commitment, discipline and moral values so that they become able and responsible citizens. The NCC is open to all the regular students of class IX to class XII. The school motivates the youth to take up a course in Armed forces. Around 150 students opt the NCC presently and participate in all the activities of NCC.
